Family Adventure Camp

Family Adventure Camp is your Cub Scout’s opportunity to see what overnight camp and the Scouts BSA program are all about with the comfort of having an adult nearby. This is a four-day, three-night sleepaway camp, showcasing the best of Ma-Ka-Ja-Wan Scout Reservation. Designed with your Scout and family in mind, the programs are tailored towards participants who are becoming Wolf, Bear, Webelos, or Arrow of Light in the Fall (and their siblings!). Dens and Packs are encouraged to attend together, but individual families are more than welcome to attend!

SCOUTS BSA

Our two resident camps, East and West Camp, are home to our traditional weeklong sleepaway camp experience. Campers build their Scouting skills, sleep under the stars, build lasting friendships, and find adventure at every turn, both in camp and on day trips such as whitewater rafting on the Wolf River.

high adventure

Ma-Ka-Ja-Wan High Adventure Base provides a wide variety of High Adventure opportunities for all skill levels. You can paddle to far reaches of Northwoods in the Boundary Waters, explore along the Ice Age Trail, and sail Lake Superior. Scouts looking to stay in camp can join the Coureur des Bois program, our in-camp high adventure experience featuring nearby excursions.
